Environmental due diligence
Advising potential purchasers or in mergers and acquisitions on the environmental conditions and risks associated with properties and developments, including contaminated land, proximity to sensitive environments, natural habitats.
Regulatory Compliance and Enforcement
Advising clients on compliance with district plan provisions and resource consents, and responding to enforcement proceedings (abatement notices, enforcement orders and prosecutions) under the Resource Management Act 1991.
Public Works Act
Advising clients affected by acquisitions under the Public Works Act by the Crown or local authorities.

- Acting for an international property developer on retirement village developments in the Selwyn and Waimakariri Districts, including the rezoning of rural land for this purpose.
- Advising an international property developer on obtaining approval for a significant hotel development in the Ashburton District.
- Acting for Frews Contracting on the consenting of a large-scale managed landfill at Hororata in the Selwyn District.
- Acting for Canterbury Landscape Supplies Limited on the consenting of a composting operation in the Waimakariri District.
- Acting for Urban Estates on the rezoning of rural land for the development of approximately 1600 dwellings.
