Strong Teams, Strong Communities: Matatū poster competition

At Anthony Harper, we are incredibly proud to partner with Matatū to celebrate teamwork, community, and women’s rugby.
To mark the launch of the Super Rugby Aupiki season, we are inviting schools, sports clubs, youth organisations, and individuals 18 and under across South Canterbury to get creative and take part in our Strong Teams. Strong Communities. poster competition.
We want to see original, hand-made posters that show what team spirit and community mean to you.
What to include in your design
Your poster needs to be completely original (no digital or AI-generated artwork, please!) and include at least one Matatū-inspired element. You could include:
- The Matatū name or team colours
- Rugby imagery and teamwork
- Supporters and community vibes
- Themes celebrating women and girls in sport
The prizes
Five winning entries will be selected, with each winner receiving:
- A family pass (4 tickets) to see Matatū take on the Hurricanes Poua live at Fraser Park in Timaru on 11 July 2026.
- A Matatū and Anthony Harper merchandise pack.
Who can enter
The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and under in the South Canterbury region, entering as an individual or through their:
- School
- Sports club
- Youth organisation
How to enter
Submitting an entry is easy. Take a clear scan or photo of the finished poster and email it to events@ah.co.nz.
Please make sure to include the following details in your email:
- Full name and age of the artist
- School, club, or organisation name
- A contact phone number
- A photo of you holding your poster (optional but we'd love to see your smiling faces!)
Key dates
- Entries open: 3 June 2026
- Entries close: 28 June 2026
- Winners announced: 3 July 2026
