Matt is a partner in Anthony Harper's property team. He’s a pragmatic and considered lawyer who brings a very commercial approach to transactions and doesn't get caught up on legal technicalities if they won't affect his clients goals. Matt provides a high level of service with a relaxed and approachable style, and values the opportunity to take stress and difficulty out of his clients’ transactions.
Matt has significant experience in the acquisition, development and sale of residential, commercial and industrial property. He has provided expert property advice to a range of clients from private individuals to local authorities and listed companies. He also has considerable experience in syndicated property acquisitions and the redevelopment and sale of cross-lease and unit title developments following the Canterbury earthquakes.

- Advised a Christchurch based property developer on the acquisition, leasing, and sale of multiple commercial and industrial properties with a combined value of over $100 million in 2021.
- Advised multiple clients on commercial and residential unit title developments throughout New Zealand.
