Bio

Richard Idoine is a specialist civil and commercial litigator. He regularly acts on disputes involving insolvency, contractual, property, trusts, and company law dimensions; though his practice is not confined to those areas.  He has appeared at courts of all levels, along with those of special subject-matter jurisdiction, such as the Māori Appellate Court and the Family Court.

Richard’s clients include companies of all shapes and sizes, insolvency practitioners, and high net worth individuals.  He is regarded as one of New Zealand's foremost sanctions law experts.  He provides advice both to designated persons – to assist with interpreting and, in exceptional cases, resisting sanctions – and to those interacting with designated persons – to enable them to meet their compliance obligations.

Richard has a reputation for bringing an analytical and measured approach to tough legal problems.

He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Samoa and takes instructions in that jurisdiction.
